While watching this did any one else ponder the perfect engineering of our
human body??
These tutorial are the best I’ve seen on drawing the human head! You have
made what seemed so difficult really simple. Of course practice does help,
which I intend to do. I only wish you could add subtitles for the hearing
impaired….that would be great for us hard of hearing folks!

i’m trying for a HARD B. My drawing isn’t so bad after all. These free

Great video.. angled facial position is something i’m struggling and using
this template i’m feel it will really help with sketching in the
dimensions.
Oh my god, thank you so much. I’ve been pulling out my hair all day
following the Loomis method step for step and I kept getting frustrated
because there are so many lines and points and I keep positioning the 3
lines that divide the ball into 8 hemispheres a little off and the sphere
ends up too big and I have to keep erasing and argh! This makes it so much
easier. First try and this head construction looks way more accurate and
clean than anything else I’ve done today. I’ll just have to practice
positioning the oval correctly from different angles, which you also have a
video about. After that it’s pretty easy. Whew.

Really (!) cool videos but they are WAY to fast. You always have to pause
for different steps and even these pauses have to be timed well.

that’s a great, 5 min explanation of Loomis method with some good
simplifications. Getting the oval right after placing the “cross” is tricky
for me as a beginner, but the other way around helps me see both planes and
not just the face.
