In this video I start off with a warm up for my daily drawing but then get into explaining some of my current techniques for drawing the female face. I go over some of the proportions and forms of measurements while drawing a comic book style face.
This video is narrated and I am using Manga Studio with a Wacom Cintiq.

How to Draw – Comics Style – Female Faces – Narrated
Your welcome +Madison McCabe . Thanks for watching! :)
Annabel – You just have to practice and try the mirroring method I
described here then practice drawing free hand to the side of it. Best of
luck to you!
good tutorial!! Can you pleas make a ”Tutorial body of female Style
comic?”
Can you make a video showing how to draw female faces talking and male
faces talking?
I think that your “cheats” can be a bad habit to form. Yes, it allows you
to save time, but it doesn’t give you consistent practice with things like
symmetry.
I’ve just been to your gallery on DeviantART,.. and “Wow!!!” would be
beyond an understatement !!! John Buscema and Christopher Hart have nothing
on you, Dude! Your comics style is freaking mind blowing! Awesome work! I
didn’t realise how great and talented you are!
I don’t really understand how those low-lives, squeaky little roaches, can
watch such an insightful and skills improving tutorial (like this one here)
and either comment it like total assholes or still give it a thumb down.
What’s wrong with you people??!
And thank you for your advice about the tablet, total game changer!!!
You’re a champion mate!
could you talk a little softer please?
great video! thanks!
She looks a bit like Rose Tyler from Dr. Who
Great video, man! Helped me alot :)
Wow great video! Although I use Ai for graphic design, I’d usually just
hand draw something then scan it and refine it on Illustrator. Never
thought of cheating before! Thanks a bunch!
you should take more time to make sure your reference lines are straight.
the 2 on the left side of the face aren’t @ 7 mins. if they aren’t accurate
the reference nothing.
Omg how r u doing it on a computer it’s so hard
This helps me tons. I prefer the commenting to the quick and short. Thanks
a lot
This gave me some ideas. Thanks!!
What program do you use?
Excellent √ Thanks
Omg so good! I just love it
Great work dude! Looks like you studied Michael Turners work pretty
heavy. He’s one of my personal faves, too. My other is J. Scott Cambell.
So in that way is how to draw hair comic style. Dude I was trying to learn
how can I draw hair on comic, which is seemed harder than manga. But now
you’ve told me an easy way. Thank you so much ;D
Thank you robert for this great tutorial.
This video was so helpful thank you, one thing I can never master though is
getting both eyes to look the same, do you have any tips or does it just
take practice?
dude u helped me a lot with this thx a lot man!!!!
Congrats bro!
you’re quite the gentleman! you’re offering some great tips of the trade
that should be somewhat secretive. thank you for your kind generosity of
sharing info and knowledge. Knowledge after all is power
congrat’s on the little one and the same to the misses at home.
Congrats Rob!!
Really liked the video, thanks.
awesome drawingl thanks
Congratulations on the new addition.
Great Video Robert. You are very insightful and it’s fun to watch your
video.
Hey RAM, what kind of wacom do you use for your comics?
Congrats!
Great video as always. I like longer videos because like you said, you can
say more plus I really enjoy seeing all the steps artists take when they
draw. This is the kind of drawing I like and I believe that I have improved
just by watching them and trying to draw just like you do.
As for getting views on YouTube I think people like stuff like Speed
painting and drawing famous people/characters from TV. If you know some
stuff about video games you could try speed painting some video game
related stuff (Titanfall and Dark Souls II are newly released games that I
think you should look at if you want to do that). There are millions of
gamers who watch a lot of YouTube.
Tutorials (like this video) should get you views/subscibers aswell because
that’s how I found your channel.
Thx! more, more videos ))
