This is a drawing tutorial on how to draw an open rose, or a rose in full blossom with large petals. It’s hard to get the petals right, but not if you use basic shapes to create some guidelines and then build on that. I also cover basic shading using hatching technique and blending, and I erase the image lightly at least 2 times in order to redraw it again and get a cleaner drawing. Flowers are really pleasant to draw anytime and anywhere!

The video didn’t help me because you couldn’t tell what to draw and where
since you really didn’t explain certain stuff.

AMAZINGI have a drawing channel as well but I only ever draw by hand – I
have *no* idea how to use digital illustration programs, I’m always blown
away by people who can make images like this on a computer! 🙂

If it is kids lessons why do you do it in the Computer? Why can’t you do it
in pencil and paper and crayons doing it in the computer the one who did it

I used to go into the woods with a rapidagraph pen and sit for hours
drawing every little vein of a rose so this is the first time I’ve drawn a
rose for decades. This tutorial really helped. Thank you.

You are drawing it to fast for people to be able to do it a some people
can’t work as fast as you but it looks great at the end

After reading responses I realized many folks were drawing this in digital
format. I used a pencil and my flower turned out pretty good.

The five sided sketch really helped me keep the shape and symmetry of the
rose.
If u do this by hand, like I did, use a tissue to help wiht the blending
