This is the easiest possible way I can explain it. Practice once, twice then you don't need to worry about these guidelines (just the symmetry and eye lines are needed).

Does anyone else start with the eyes first? I tried using guide lines

Everytime I try to draw hair I give my characters some messed up mullet
thing, halp.

Cause I have been practicing for 5 years and I still am NO WHERE near being

hi, just a beginner’s question, what type of pencil you’re using? (as far
as i know, there’s a lot of different kind of pencil to use, so im not
exactly know what type should i use for this type of drawing)
My only problem is with the balance.. each ear and eye doesn’t have the
same size. And then when it comes to shading, i’m terribble at it..
Your tutorial is a bit helpful with the guidelines. I’ve been drawing since
primary and i don’t even know how to use guidelines.. so, thanks a lot.

hold up, symmetry line? you use that through the whole thing, and if you
have OCD you need everything to be right so therefore Sophie isn’t a girl
it’s actually a boy and that is one specific boy: Death the Kid
Can anybody PLEASE tell me what an inch is, i thought 1.25 cm but in the

This is a type of design which uses a technique to create faces and body
….. but I prefer to use techniques eg the movement of the body, while the

Oh man your drawing helped me improved! I am a girl but I love drawing guys
and just this video, just this helped my drawing improved from shoujou to
shounen. All my drawings look girly because I am incapable of drawing small
eyes and I don’t really use guidelines so the eyes are just huge and
