Hey Mr. Crilley. I just wanted to say thank you for doing the videos you
do. I’m am 33 and loved drawing as a kid and teenager. With adult life
stepping in I pretty much hadn’t drawn in years. When I found your videos
it sparked something in me to start drawing again and really take it
seriously as an adult. I’m taking classes in my spare time and it’s really
given me something to concentrate and practice on that isn’t work. Haha. So
thank you! Very much appreciated!

I was wondering if you will be willing to create a video on how to become a
full magaka or Comics creator, and what I mean by that is basically, where
you all start. From making ideas, to drawing, to fully publishing, and I
also wanted to know if you are able to talk about how to find a “editor”
and sort of explain how the publishing progress works Espically if you want
to publish a “manga” not just a comic book. That would be wonderful ^_^

Hello Mark. I just want to say thank you so much. 4-3 years ago, back when
I couldn’t draw, didn’t have good drawing skills, and wanted to draw anime
and be a good artist, I found your account. I thought I couldn’t do half
the stuff you do. I gave up a few times, but managed to come back and
practiced day in day out to learn from your videos to draw better. Now,
I’ve been making manga for about 2 years, have MUCH better art skills than
I EVER would have imaged, and it’s all thanks to you. I even use your
mastering manga book still. Thank you so much for you videos. Your the
reason why I am who I am today. Keep on motivating young artists, and keep
changing lives, Mark. Thank you so much :)

Mark, I’ve always wondered what type of tools you use to drawn Anime, such
as pens/pencils etc, and where you can pick them up.

Horns, spikes and ridges on lizards and some amphibians are not merely
decorative, they’re typically used as some sort of defence – either as some
form of aggressive display to look bigger and meaner or in the case of say
crocodiles, their scutes along their back and tail act like armour.
Same principle as studded armour.
So, in the case of those spikes on the jaw, in theory they could protect
the neck.
Could you do a video in which you show us the whole progress of your
drawing?

Really awesome dragon head ^*^ never really felt the urge to use markers
for drawings but with this video I could really see why someone would
choose to use markers and I’m thinking of trying it out myself ^*^ can’t
wait to get your new book on May 5th (our liberation day) 😀
Hey there Mark, I’ve watched your vids off and on for a while, I first
heard of you a few years ago upon finding the first three Miki Falls Books
at my local library (I have subscribed! so no worries there!). I’ve picked
up a few tricks, but you don’t seem to be very fond of putting in what I
call the “underglow” (often called reflective light in some places– Bleh!
what a boring title) in your non-realistic style drawings. Since I made a
habit of paying attention to little things like that, I’ve found it helps
my drawings to pop a bit more You know, separate them from their
background. any particular reason for your abstinence?
I just want to say sometimes i consider not watching the narrated video,
but evertytime i do im so happy i did. I dont always draw along anymore its
actually rare, but i drew the last dragon and it tured out pretty good.
Anyways i still find the videos amusing and its momenst like snakebelly

Even at the very beginning before any scales or ridges were added was 100
times better than anything I could do. This is amazing.
I know you probably don’t know a lot about dragons (i do), but i just
wanted to inform you that dragons commonly have forked tongues.
can you make a sort of asian dragon with feather wings? I find those kinds

BTW – This dragon is absolutely gorgeous (if one can say that about
dragons)! You could take this little illustration to the next Dragon-Con
and it would easily sell for hundreds of dollars$$$$! On that subject,

How long does it take to do something this detailed?
You were asking why the dragons needed horns pointing backwards, assuming
they were only for decoration. This is just a guess, but I think it’s being
used in battles as protection and slicing the enemy if it does get close to
the neck. At least, that’s what I think.
