The trouble I have is with the initial structure of the drawing. If you
have the general template, you’re good to go. I mean for example if you
have the general shape of the dragon’s head, you’re practically finished if
you’ve got the shading skills.
I’m just bad at mapping out the template – which is pretty much the most
important skill in art since it’s where you start.

Using your other dragon tutorial I drew the other dragon(obviously) and
it’s one of the best looking things I’ve drawn, I can’t wait for the full
tutorial on this as well:D

because whenever I try to draw something with your tutorials it never looks

Hi Mark, I’ve been watching your videos for a few years now and I noticed
something. You are always very neat and clean, and you get a lot of detail
in to ‘fill up’ the blanks. It had me wondering what your feelings are
about drawing in a more messy, sketchy style. Kind of less technical, and
just loose and easy creativity. Or maybe you consider that kind of a
drawing a sketch (or you only do that to plan out drawings like these) and
not neat enough to be called the final piece? Thanks!
