sure this is one of the hardest tricks of an illustration some people say
hands are hard to draw out because in some anime they exaggerate the long
fingers or hands of the sort an everyone has their own stye but I for one
had trouble myself in drawing hands because they all seem wonky looking to
me so I may to watch this tutorial again for future reference again thanks

I was at school, and in art class, we’re learning how to draw self
portraits. We’re doing each feature and practicing that. We started with
the eye and my teacher put on one of your videos on drawing the photo
realistic eye time lapse, and I’m like, ” OMG THATS MARK CRILLEY GUYS I
KNOW HIM HE’S MY FRIEND MERLINS PANTS”

hello mark can you do how to draw the faces of old and middle aged people?
i think you haven’t done that yet. i want to know where to put and order
the face wrinkles.
Love your videos. One question – why did you use the black Prismacolor to
outline the hands and between the fingers? Is it necessary or would the
final result be more realistic without those strong black lines between the
‘back fingers’ and elsewhere?

Just a question to the people that own Matering Manga 1/2; do you feel like
you’re able to draw manga properly?
I’m not asking if you got better or not, I’m asking if you can draw
in-and-abouts the same quality as a serialised manga artist.
I don’t want any kid answering this question telling me to buy it just
because he/she likes Mark Crilley. I want to know if I should invest my
money into the books.

Dear Mark I just bought your “Mastering Manga” book! From all of the books
I looked at and compared, yours is the best of the best. It has the best
example and also it has “cheat sheets” witch I ALWAYS use. This is the
thing, in school and allover im good at art. Kids and grown ups say that I
have a steady hand for a 12 year old, and i always win in lots of art
competitions at school. Actually one of my paintings got put on the
California state capitle. But when I first started Manga (about a week ago)
it tolk me a decent amount of time to make the faces and all. Should I keep
practicing to draw and make comics for my self?
What pencil hardness do you use Mark, for outlining? I’m relatively new to
drawing and it seems my guide lines are somewhat hard to erase even when I
press down lightly.
